Althea the fairy inspired mermaid has an innate love of nature. She’s found hidden in the lush vegetation near her pond. Althea’s compassionate demeanor is shared among flowers and her wildlife friends.

McKenzie Montecalvo

McKenzie is a self-taught artist, nurturing her self-expression through creative art since she was a child. Her adventurous spirit has allowed her to explore a vast variety of mediums and subjects, and her love for animals has propelled her pet portrait specialty. Painting ‘fur babies’ for clients has always been close to her heart.

She has had a plethora of commissions which include murals, portraits, mailboxes, lighted paintings, face painting, decorating for birthdays and special events, and paint classes. Although she has many projects which she is proud, teaching is the most rewarding; “I love fostering someone’s confidence and passion through private art classes.”

Outside of art, her true love is her family. She is blessed with two amazing boys Jace and Nicholas, her husband Anthony, and their dog Pickles. She enjoys spontaneous adventures with her family, camping, boating, cruises, gardening, and raising chickens.
