Marina

Marina protects the ocean’s treasures and secrets. Beautiful and proud, she is a dangerous creature, who lurks nearby with enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of Florida. The name “Marina” is in honor of the artist’s mother, who is missed dearly.

About the Artist:

Renata Villemaire

Renata Villemaire was born in Russia and has loved painting and drawing as long as she can remember. She went to art school for 4 years and also has a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Currently living in Spring Hill, Florida, Renata is an established professional artist, creating major projects within our community as a mobile muralist for the Hernando County Arts Council, a featured artist in the Uptown Gallery, an art teacher for all ages, as well as commissioning portraits of people and animals. She has also tackled some large-scale murals on community buildings; her most recent works can been seen at the library in downtown Brooksville, and another at Neptune’s Grotto in Weeki Wachee.

While she is well versed in many art forms, watercolor has her heart; although she also does acrylic, graphic drawings, alcohol ink and acrylic pours.
