The recent hurricanes have impacted our Mermaid Tail Trail, leaving some of our beloved mermaids temporarily displaced. Unfortunately, a few of our shimmering friends are currently unavailable for viewing. However, our team is working diligently to restore and reinstall the displaced mermaids. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please check back with us for updates on when these magnificent mermaids will return to their posts along the trail.

Sirena de la Fruta

Translating to “Mermaid of the Fruit,” Sirena de la Fruta is a celebration of living life in abundance, and all things tropical fruit! She is fun, festive, and surrounded by nature, including many types of fruit that can be grown in Florida.

About the Artist:

Arielle Katarina

Arielle Katarina (AKAT) is a freelance artist and craft beer label illustrator living in sunny Bradenton, Florida. She loves to go on adventures, paint murals, and explore new places. She loves the sea, and some say she’s actually a mermaid.

When she’s not creating artwork, Arielle enjoys spending time out in nature. Although she loves the Earth and the sea, Arielle is also a space enthusiast, and attends NASA events. She also loves tropical fruit and fossil hunting. Traveling to new places and trying new foods also make her very happy.

Arielle graduated with a BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art & Design in 2011. Her work ranges in scale from small digital pieces to large hand-painted murals.
